Hou Yonghui-Patrick Firefox and commonly used Chromium-based browsers support custom search engine keywords, allowing you to quickly switch search engines when searching in the address bar. How can such a function be realized in the Mac Safari browser? Do Patrons have any recommended extensions or methods? (2022-05-08)
Hou Yonghui-Patrick After reading the comments, I bought xSearch for Safari, used it simply, and it’s pretty good.
PlatyHsu Keyword Search has the same effect, it’s free, and it can be synchronized with iCloud, so you can also use it on your phone after setting it up on your computer.

Ken Zong The battery health of the Apple Watch S6 I bought on the first day is already 79%. I’ll take it to Apple to replace the battery before AC+ ends. There are quite a few scratches on the machine screen (one is long and deep, but not broken), and after a series of checks by the genius kid, he took it away to be returned to the factory. Will he give me a new machine then? Will he charge me for the screen repair? (2022-05-08)
Soritori The description of the screen part should just go through the procedure. I replaced the keyboard of my previous Mac, and issues such as battery wear and shell bumps were also described very clearly.
I replaced the battery, it’s free. But it’s a replacement for repair.
Rain I was given a new one when the factory inspection was almost due. Then it was said that it was quite cost-effective to replace the battery under warranty.
Panther My opinion is to buy the Watch instead of AC+, and buy a new one every two years. For example, I bought Series 5, and when Series 7 comes out, I will use the official recycling to exchange for a new one. My Series 5 can still be deducted by 1300, so the new model can be purchased at the lowest price of 1699. This way, you can use the latest model, and the old model can also be recycled at a good price. I think it’s a pretty good plan.
Klein wants to ask everyone about the difference in feel between the Yanfeng and Ningzhi keyboards? Currently, I am using the Niz68 35g three-mode keyboard for daily office work. Compared to Niz, what improvements does Yanfeng offer, and which model of Yanfeng is more suitable for office typing? (2022-05-09)
Zimu, the feel of the switch is different because it uses rubber cups and springs. The change in force when pressing down as a whole will not be like the MX axis. The spring determines the straight-up and straight-down experience of the MX linear axis, and the force change curve of the tactile switch is generally a parabola, and the force change curve of the rubber cup is usually curved…
Beijiao, strictly speaking, it’s big.
Both of them have the same principle, but even under the same pressure, you can feel that Ningzhi uses softer rubber cups. Because Ningzhi chose heavy labor protection in the initial design, and needed a smaller trigger force and a smooth pressure curve. Yanfeng (and HHKB, which is all rubber cups under Topre) are more inclined to pay attention to the feel. The rubber cups of Topre, theoretically the same as Realforce HHKB, but the shell precision seems to be general, and the general evaluation is poor. (But I haven’t tried it, Leopold’s mechanical keyboard performance is okay, but the electrostatic capacitive series has always been poorly evaluated.)
If we really have to talk about office use, I think Ningzhi is more suitable because it is softer, and the fatigue will be slightly less after long-term typing. However, many of the layouts available for Ningzhi are quite strange, and the faint feel of the touch is quite annoying to many people.
After using both, I think they have their own advantages. I also like Realforce and Ningzhi, I think either one is fine for typing. Ningzhi may be quieter (because the feel is smaller), but it’s hard to say about others. It’s best to feel them all, and picking any one to use won’t make you feel like you’re missing out on anything.
R3 has dual mode, the domestic version has not been released yet, I feel it’s coming soon, if you want to buy it, you can wait. There are indeed fewer keycaps to replace. If you are willing to make trouble, there are also other ways to bypass this restriction, such as replacing the cross push rod, and it’s quite麻烦, not cheap. However, Realforce’s original keycaps are very, very, very high-quality thermal sublimation keycaps, there is no need to worry about quality issues, and it’s okay to use them all the time.
EricLi404, there are only a few electrostatic capacitive keyboards, it’s too difficult to choose: HHKB: Don’t want to use this layout; Niz: Always feels unauthentic; Amilo: Fake electrostatic capacitive; Liebold: Poor evaluation; Realforce: Ugly
Beijiao Niz, there’s nothing unauthentic about it. If we really want to talk about the trigger method, Topre is not the first to do so. The simplest method is to buy second-hand ones and try them outonline website sportsJoin us. As for the layout, it can be accustomed to. If you plan to stick with one keyboard for a long time, the layout will not cause any trouble.
Wang Luffy, everyone, which one has a higher office efficiency, 2 4K 27-inch monitors and one 34-inch quasi-3K + one 24-inch 1080p? (2022-05-09)
Li Yuchen made some notes on this aspect when determining the display solution: The combination of the same display has the advantage that the visual effect on the table is more harmonious, whether horizontally or vertically arranged; the experience of using cross-screen programs is more comfortable; the difference in the image of two displays of the same model is smaller without calibration. Suggestion: The height and ppi of the displays should be the same, and they should be placed on the same horizontal axis. For example, if the main screen is a 34-inch ultra-wide screen, it should be paired with a 27-inch 16:9 secondary screen, where the length of the 15.6-inch display is exactly consistent with the width of the 27-inch and 34-inch displays; if the main screen is a 29-inch ultra-wide screen, the secondary screen should be chosen as a 24-inch 16:9 display. The choice of vertical screen displays: prefer smaller screens; you can choose displays with a 16:10 scheme.
The basic questions that need to be answered before purchasing are as follows: Is the purpose for office or entertainment? Do you need a vertical screen? If it is entertainment + vertical screen: choose 34 inches + 15.6 inches; if it is office + vertical screen: choose dual 24 inches; or 27 inches + 15.6 inches. If it is for office and does not require a vertical screen: choose dual 24 inches or dual 27 inches.
The specific choice depends on personal tolerance for low resolution and the size of the desk. I find low resolution eye-straining, so I have a dual 27-inch 4K at home and a dual 24-inch 4K at the office. I am very satisfied with the use so far.

Seven received an advertisement for the MasterGo product design tool in his circle of friends. Does anyone know about this product? (2022-05-10)
When Figma was forced to counterattack DJI, these domestic products began to fiercely seize market share. My initial simple experience felt not very smooth, and I don’t know how the recent optimizations are.
ChosenXu is also not performing well now, with poor performance and difficulties in handling large projects and importing.
The Panther web version is still not as smooth as the client version, but this product does not have a client. I am still using Axure.
qikepai Experienced MasterGO and Instant Design after the DJI incident, but felt that the smoothness was still not as good as Figma. Additionally, it is definitely difficult to catch up with the Figma community in terms of resources. I also maintain a watchful attitude towards the free services of domestic similar software, and it is very likely that additional advertisement entries or value-added services will be added later, turning it into a hodgepodge… I don’t feel it is necessary to switch unless the company strictly requires it.
Another Dayu Similar to Slack or Discord, this kind of community-oriented software, using tags to divide fields. I want to find one that can be used domestically, does everyone have any recommendations? (2022-05-10)
Astrian Zheng Kaili
Mengtanx QQ Channel. NetEase has a product similar to Discord, but it is aimed at B2B corporate customers, you can take a look.
DavidJoy I think QQ Channel is still okay for now, let’s see after more iterations. Kaili launched a wave of cars at the beginning of this year, causing many friends to cancel their accounts, and the official did not give a clear explanation, the product manager said on Zhihu that he didn’t know what happened. There is also Dodo, it seems to have Baidu and Bilibili components, and they are all about the same as Discord, but not as good as Discord.
Daxiong gobear Try Mattermost, you can customize various robots; or the discussion group of rocket.chat.
Xiaozhouyang I want to ask everyone if there are any free and commercial icon websites? It doesn’t have to be the whole website that is free for commercial use, just convenient for filtering. For example, the iconfont of Alibaba has a lot of icons, but most of them cannot be used for free commercial purposes, and it is very麻烦 to filter. Some UPs on Bilibili recommended varying quality, and I couldn’t find anything… (2022-05-10)
DerQi I know two: IconPark, Iconic.
Yorks0n https://remixicon.com and https://iconoir.com
PlatyHsu It’s definitely necessary to check out Font Awesome. For commercial use, it is required to retain the attribution (if you use the svg version, the attribution is already in the code, don’t delete it; if you change it to bitmap, find a place to say where it came from).
Matthias, may I ask if there’s any way to index the NAS with Spotlight? I did a simple search and found two methods, but I tried them and they were all ineffective: the method provided by Apple (Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac), first add the corresponding folder to the Spotlight blacklist, and then remove it from the blacklist. I tried it, but it was ineffective for the NAS volume. The result I got from the terminal command was , but there was still no index.
Note: My NAS is a QNAP, and the built-in Qsirch will create an index. Some people said on the QNAP forum that Spotlight can use Qsirch’s index for searching, but no specific method was provided.
In addition, how can one determine if a folder is indexed by Spotlight? The reason for wanting to be indexed by Spotlight is to be able to directly search for the corresponding files/folders through Spotlight or Alfred. The aforementioned ‘ineffective’ refers to the inability to directly search for files/folders through Spotlight or Alfred. If you open the corresponding NAS folder inside Finder and use Finder’s own search function, it works. I’m not sure if this counts as a successful Spotlight index. (2022-05-10)
YGXXII My suggestion is not to mess with Spotlight. This time, if you mess with it, the system update may cause problems next time. I have not added NAS’s volume, so you might try EasyFind (free) and ProFind (paid).
Ma Tai, thank you! I tried ProFind, and its Disk Caching feature is quite interesting, allowing for offline searching. However, like HoudahSpot, which I often use, the results are not very reliable. Sometimes, the file is clearly there, but it shows that it cannot be found.
Based on my tests so far, the terminal tool (an alternative) is the most reliable, with guaranteed speed and support for regular expressions. I have integrated it into the Alfred workflow, allowing for quick access. However, I still hope that Alfred can search for files on NAS as quickly as searching for local files.
Li Yuchen is with QNAP. I use recoll to search for specific folders on NAS.
Dean shares a Coindesk report on UST losing its dollar anchor and my own views, as a way to initiate a discussion.
UST, as a stablecoin, is anchored to the US dollar, with 1 UST equivalent to 1 US dollar. However, this week, the price of UST fell to its lowest at 0.65 US dollars. (I actually don’t think this is anything surprising; in the crypto world, anything is possible.)
However, what comes next is quite interesting. The organization behind UST (the issuer?) Luna Foundation Guard, has mobilized 1.5 billion US dollars to start stabilizing the market, aiming to pull UST back to its anchored price of 1 US dollar. So the question arises, if the value of so-called ‘stablecoins’ like UST cannot stabilize itself and needs the intervention of a ‘centralized’ institution to maintain its value, does this still count as decentralized? In other words, the collapse of individual ‘centralized’ organizations in history often means the devaluation of their currencies, even turning into废纸. So, can stablecoins avoid this point? Of course, it is not yet apparent, as the organization behind UST has not collapsed yet.
By the way, let’s talk about the anonymity of Online casino and How to find it. In the United States, trading in Online casino and How to find it requires tax reporting. Based on my experience, tax reporting in the United States is obviously not anonymous (see IRS explanation). (No conflict of interest, just watching the show, not trading coins, stocks, or foreign exchange.)
Bloomberg’s report today, it seems that the market rescue was not very successful. Just looked at it, it is still in a de-anchored state, 1 UST for 0.6 dollars or so, which is a gap from the designed 1:1 exchange ratio. (2022-05-11)
TMG [Supplementary background,] There is a project called UST made by a South Korean team. It is an algorithmic stablecoin, 1:1 pegged to the US dollar. How is it pegged? It uses an oracle to mint through burning another virtual currency called LUNA. For example, if the price of LUNA is currently 5 US dollars, then to mint 1 US dollar of UST, you need to burn 0.2 LUNA. If LUNA rises to 10 US dollars, then burn 0.1 LUNA.
Under this mechanism, the more people want to buy UST, the more LUNA will be burned, thus pushing up the price of LUNA, which is understandable to everyone. LUNA has increased by dozens of times over the past year.
How to stimulate everyone to buy UST? The South Korean team launched a deposit project, offering a fixed interest rate of 19.8% per year for anyone who deposits UST. This yield is very high, so it was snapped up as soon as it was launched, and the locked-up funds of UST soared, reaching over 30 billion US dollars at its peak.
You must be wondering where this 19.8% interest comes from and who provides it. Indeed, due to the insufficiently high interest rate of the loan (about 12%), the loan funds also fail to keep up with the growth speed of deposits, resulting in a net loss of several million every day for the entire project. By the end of last year, the capital pool was in a hurry, and the South Korean team temporarily added 4.5 billion to keep it alive, which is why it was delayed for another half year.
They are spending this money because they hope to take advantage of the rapid expansion phase to create as many offline application scenarios for UST as possible. For example, some vending machines in South Korea and Southeast Asia support UST payment points. As long as the demand increases, the plate can be stabilized.
But no matter what, it is difficult to maintain an interest rate of 19.8%. Finally, in early May this year, the South Korean team announced that the interest rate would be reduced to 18% and adjusted dynamically every month. They are also not dare to reduce the interest rate too much at one time, because once it is reduced too much, others will not deposit UST, choosing to sell or exchange for equivalent LUNA to exit, and the massive selling orders may trigger a negative spiral, leading to a direct collapse.
In the initial few days after the interest rate cut, there was nothing much going on, but recently the Federal Reserve has raised interest rates, and the entire cryptocurrency market has plummeted. Finally, on the night before yesterday, a large amount of capital suddenly sold off UST, breaking the link with the US dollar. Panic gradually intensified, and the South Korean team immediately mobilized funds to defend the plate, wanting to maintain the peg.
But the avalanche effect was gradually triggered, and more and more people wanted to escape. The wave of selling was stronger and stronger, and the South Korean team’s inventory of more than 2 billion yuan was quickly exhausted. Then the exchange rate of UST began to plummet. Because the scale of this plate is very large, UST+LUNA has a market value of nearly 40 billion US dollars, and many people and institutions abroad have invested in it. Therefore, this explosion can be said to have shocked the entire cryptocurrency and financial circles.
Panther asks a question about daily life. Besides artificial tears, are there any brands of conventional eye drops that do not irritate the eyes recommended? This is mainly to relieve eye fatigue, as it is really uncomfortable to stare at the computer for more than 10 hours a day. (2022-05-11)
Liu Chang, try an eye massager? For example, Philips. Additionally, I have used a friend’s German Hailu sodium hyaluronate eye drops before, and they feel okay.
Dr. Zhou Yang has tried Bausch & Lomb’s carboxymethylcellulose eye drops, Japan’s Santen’s sodium hyaluronate eye drops, and the blue bottle, but there is no feeling.
GeoKogorou uses conventional sodium hyaluronate.
Some conventional eye drops have preservatives, which doctors do not recommend. You can buy sodium hyaluronate or polyvinyl alcohol eye drops instead. I have been using them and they are not expensive.
The tail has been using Santen’s PC.
The method to relax the eyes at Jiuli is not just by using eye drops but also by using hot compresses! You can use a steam eye mask, or if you think it is not environmentally friendly or expensive, you can buy Optase microwave heating moist heat eye mask; hot compress three times a day can effectively relieve visual fatigue.
You can also download an app called ‘Take a Break’, which enforces the ’20-20-20 rule’, and it will be much better.
Artificial tears (sodium hyaluronate) are commonly prescribed for dry eye syndrome, but there are strict restrictions on the frequency of use because if used too much, the lacrimal glands will further become lazy in producing tears (this is the general idea), that is to say, one should rely on a multi-dimensional approach to relieve eye fatigue, even dry eyes should be considered whether it is due to lack of water or lack of oil (in fact, most dry eyes are due to lack of oil, which is caused by meibomian gland blockage). The eyes are also an organ that needs to maintain a balance of water and oil to produce its own body fluids, and it is not enough to rely solely on external substances for supplementation. This is only a temporary solution and may harm the organ. – The above is based on my years of experience in ophthalmology and self-study of ophthalmic knowledge.
If you feel anything uncomfortable with your eyes, go to an ophthalmic specialty clinic for a check-up. Ordinary people should also have an annual superficial eye examination and fundus examination to exclude risks and pay attention to eye health. The eyes are one of the most precise organs in the human body, and many ophthalmic examination instruments are only available in a few hospitals. But people pay far less attention to eye health than to dental health.
The steam eye masks have also been reviewed by my father. Some brands are easy to cause burns, or the temperature is uneven, which is not good either. Only Kao is the best, but it is very expensive. I started with Kao, but later felt it was not economical, so I bought the eye mask I linked to, which is reusable and very niche. It is only available through German pharmacy agents, but because I live in a loft, the microwave is downstairs and the bed is upstairs, so after a few months, after my dry eyes were significantly improved, I used it less, and used steam eye masks more. But I think this product itself is very good.
Fred Chan, I have used the Philips ‘Beauty Instrument Beauty Device’ (model BSC3) before, and it feels quite comfortable. The biggest pain point is that it cannot be used for both eyes at the same time, and you have to switch back and forth. I also occasionally use steam eye masks, which are more comfortable than artificial tears, but also more expensive.
Peter Pan and Pan Peter, dear friends, do you have a better company printer file transfer and printing solution? The previous method was to apply for a QQ account in the print room, and company employees would transfer the files to be printed to the print room QQ account, and then receive the files on the computer in the print room. But the QQ account was applied for N years ago, and the password was forgotten. Now I can’t log in.
I have also thought about ways to connect the printer to the network. On one hand, the operation is complex, and on the other hand, it cannot be guaranteed that every employee can add the printer to their computer for remote printing. I just want to ask if there are any other convenient solutions besides applying for another QQ account. (2022-05-11)
YGXXII If a small company does not consider printer auditing (such as printing after swiping a card) for any reason, you can consider sharing the printer over the local area network. The printer is connected to a PC via USB, and then refer to Share Your Network Printer on this PC. The drawback is that the PC cannot sleep or shut down while printing.
Other users can access the shared printer just like accessing a shared folder. If you need to configure password-free printing, you can add the Windows guest account (Guest) to the printer’s security settings. Alternatively, you can set up a dedicated account for sharing, create a Windows account specifically for this PC, and add it to the printer’s security settings.
If the entire company is under a local area network, fix the printer’s IP in the main router, and then install the driver of this printer as a network printer on each machine. It should work fine.
Wang Xiaoxia DingTalk and Enterprise WeChat provide cloud printing applications, you can install the plugin on the computer connected to the printer, and the cloud printing of Feishu needs to be paid for before it can be used.
Panther Ask the friends of NetEase, has anyone bought an intelligent massage chair? I want to know if you bought it for yourself or for your parents at home? What is the usage rate and satisfaction? I’m thinking of buying one for my parents at home, but I’m afraid this thing will just collect dust at home. (2022-05-12)

Rollin My wife, my father-in-law, and my mother-in-law are all satisfied.
Yi Xiang I consulted a doctor before, and he didn’t recommend buying a massage chair directly, saying it’s not good for the bones. If you feel uncomfortable, it’s still better to ask a doctor directly; if you want to achieve the function of health care, it’s better to have a manual massage instead of using a massage chair.
Er Dong Agrees, diseases should still be treated by doctors. If it’s just for relaxation and rest, I think there’s no problem. There are two in my house, and the whole family is quite satisfied.
Michael I bought a massage chair pad before, a cheap and rough one, but I used it for more than half a year, and it’s still okay to stimulate occasionally.
Wang Jian, I bought one, and the utilization rate is still okay (especially compared to a treadmill of the same area), most of my friends who come to my house find it quite comfortable to lie on it. However, I still suggest trying the massage chair offline because the intensity is different. For example, I find it quite difficult, and I chose the one with a stronger intensity between the two at that time. But my mom felt it was a bit heavy.
In the past two years, I have used three: there is a massage chair owned by the landlord in the employee dormitory rented by the company, which is very large, can be adjusted to many angles and intensities, the arms, calves, and buttocks can also be massaged with air pressure, the soles can also be massaged, and the angle of lying on the back can also be adjusted. This massage chair is the most comfortable. As a person with sleep disorders and difficulty falling asleep, I can completely relax and feel sleepy after a few minutes of massage, but this one is also the heaviest, the appearance is not very good-looking, and the price can also reach thousands of yuan;
In the past half month, I used two: a massage cushion at the level of 300 yuan, the intensity cannot be adjusted, and I returned it after buying it. Then I bought a 1300 yuan one, placed it in my rented house for my own use, with a slightly more modes, and slightly adjustable intensity, with air pressure and vibration massage, which is relatively portable, and I am still satisfied with it at present.
From a health perspective, I think those who have diseases should follow medical advice, as well as, be cautious about shoulder and neck massage. I remember reading many news reports about people suffering from thrombosis and even life-threatening conditions after massaging their shoulders and necks in massage shops.

David recently has his eye on the LEGO Discovery Space Shuttle 10283, but after reading the comments, it said that there are often missing parts when buying online, I want to ask everyone where do you usually buy from? (Note: Whether online or offline, it must be from the official store.) (2022-05-13)
Mixro I always shop offline, remember the number and buy on Pinduoduo or find a familiar Taobao store owner to buy, I haven’t encountered any missing parts, and the goods are equally cheap is the real truth.
xxBigbb The same thing (unopened box with damage) will be about 20% cheaper on闲鱼 or when buying from a Lego member.
For Tp kits, it’s cheaper to search for the number online and buy them. The prices in offline authorized stores and flagship stores are higher. As long as it’s printed with the Lego logo, you don’t need to worry about counterfeits. Offline stores are more suitable for buying PAB, BAM for DIY, or to collect gift sets (but in fact, most gift sets can also be purchased at a low price on Taobao).
Big ears confused, online purchase is more cost-effective. Offline is suitable for buying parts, a cup that can be filled with anything. LEGO missing parts are handled by the official, unrelated to the sales channel, directly apply on the official website, and EMS will deliver it to your home. I have applied twice myself, and the overall process is very smooth, although the probability of LEGO missing parts is very low.

Mingzi currently mainly uses iPhone and camera to take photos. The photos taken by the camera are directly imported into the ‘Photos’ app on the iPad Pro through a card reader. I have opened a 2TB iCloud to store, synchronize, and make it convenient to view photos anytime. As the 2TB space gradually fills up, I start to worry about two issues: first, the photos are not backed up at all; second, the solution after the 2TB space is full. I would like to refer to everyone’s photo management plan. (2022-05-15)
Fred Chan, Synology’s Photo Mobile. It’s better to download the pictures from iCloud in batches and migrate them to the NAS early. The experience is too poor, the copy from the card to the iPad is slow, uploading to iCloud is slow, and accessing it is also slow.

PlatyHsu, we once shared in our group a Swiss guy who installed a 25Gbit/s broadband at home. Recently, he tested whether the HTTP(S) protocol can run at full speed under the current hardware. The general conclusion of the test is: using HTTP plain text transmission, the curl command line can run at full speed, but using the Go language’s http library will be slower; using HTTPS encrypted transmission, the additional processor overhead will cause only about 30-40% of the bandwidth to be utilized; the kTLS (kernel-level TLS processing) recently supported by Linux cannot improve the speed, but can reduce CPU usage. In both cases, three or more TCP concurrent connections can run at full bandwidth. The server uses a lightweight tool like nginx to build, which is easier to use than more complex tools like Caddy, but also easier to run at full bandwidth.

I don’t know how everyone uses it, do you have any related experience? (2022-05-15)
James’ Windows computer uses wake up online (enable in BIOS), can be turned on through a router or mobile app (on the same network), and can also be turned on remotely if the router has a public IP and is accessible for remote login.
Janpun This problem seems unsolvable on the surface, but from another perspective, is there a laptop that can be left on without shutting down, and then Mac stands out, the only drawback is that you must plug in the power when connecting the display with the lid closed.
Lucky626 There is also ‘Wake when AC is detected’ in the BIOS options, so you can turn on the computer through the power strip.
D Some laptops have official expansion docks with power buttons, such as HP.
Bernard I was also frustrated by this (plus the noise problem) and conveniently installed a desktop computer at home, keeping the data consistent among several computers through cloud synchronization.
Hao Yanqian Used to put Dell’s computer on an expansion dock, the expansion dock has a power button, you can turn on the computer without opening the cover.
If it is, why is the single Apple Watch charging cable not in the MagSafe product list of Apple’s store; if it is not, then why can it both magnetically attract and wirelessly charge, and support dual and triple wireless charging devices that are also called MagSafe? (2022-05-15)
Mixro Apple does not call it MagSafe, those multi-functional devices have charging ports called MagSafe by Apple.
ts I think the MagSafe on the iPhone is just a naming that rides on the historical hot spot, the earliest MagSafe specifically refers to the charging structure of MacBook, the key point is magnetic attraction, which is safe, and actually has little to do with wireless or not.
Princit Belkin, the official website has helped to promote and explain for A Guo.
Janpun cannot, mainly because I want you to buy two chargers.
CharleX Mag, but it is not Safe.
Little Stone, do you have any recommendations for alternative products to 1Password? My main needs are: daily password management functions; the price should not be too expensive, preferably within a hundred yuan per year; the UI should not be too ugly, and it would be better if it could be more refined.
If there is really no other choice, then you can only choose to carpool. (2022-05-16)
Rain The Enpass I used before is also okay, but I still think 1Password offers the best experience.
YGXXII, if you are willing to tinker, Keepass + WebDAV.
The one I am currently using is: Windows: Keepass 2, Android: Keepass2Android, maOS: Strongbox, iOS: Strongbox (previously used Qimimi, now switching to Strongbox)
Soren, Yorks0n, Lucky626, chen Bitwarden
Randir If you don’t want to hassle, it should be Bitwarden, which has been recommended many times; I am using a KeePass-based solution, the look of KeePassXC on the computer is very nice, and I synchronize the password library with OneDrive. If you have iCloud, it’s even simpler, and I recommend the open-source KeePassium on the iOS platform.
Cam just received an upgrade notification for the SafeInCloud password management app, informing us that in the near future, the iCloud synchronization feature will be removed, and it is recommended to synchronize the password library to other cloud services as soon as possible. The reason for this, the official explanation says they will migrate their Russian developer account to a new Armenian developer account, but Apple has a restriction that does not allow apps with iCloud functionality to be migrated. This is why the major decision to remove the iCloud synchronization feature was made. Personally, I feel really helpless. Not long ago, I migrated from 1Password to SafeInCloud to use it, and one of the reasons I chose it was the simple and convenient iCloud synchronization feature, but now it’s gone, and I feel not only helpless but also a bit tired of always having to migrate the password library.
JLDUAN I first used iCloud synchronization, but later, because I needed to synchronize the password library with non-Apple devices, I changed to WebDAV. This article introduces how to set up坚果云 WebDAV synchronization for password libraries, you can also use other services, or even set up your own WebDAV, but it is a bit麻烦 to configure.
There is no need to worry too much about security, the synchronized password library file is an encrypted file that can only be read with the master password you set in the SafeinCloud client, even if others obtain this password library file, they cannot get the data inside without the master password.
CYRUS_XUBJ Are there any experts who have played Switch Sports? Please share some tips on the operation. I want to ask how to perform a serve and smash in tennis, I have triggered it only once, but I have seen others trigger it every time in random matches; as well as how to control the direction of the return, sometimes I think I am returning the ball to the right, but it goes to the left instead. (2022-05-16)
Dongyang Li I am also a beginner, but I feel that this game pays more attention to the grasp of ‘timing’, for example, in badminton, you can hit the ball from the highest point of its flight, and it’s usually easier to execute a smash from a higher position; when I played before, I would swing the racket as soon as the ball was about to reach me, and after that, I only watched the ball, swinging as soon as it started to fall, and the proportion of smashes increased rapidly. Adding different angles and dropped balls, it’s still okay.
For kalryoma tennis, it’s mainly about timing, quickly swinging down at the highest point of the ball. But using only the wrist has a much higher success rate, which means you don’t have to do the traditional serve by throwing the ball and then jumping and swinging the whole arm down. Just quickly press down the wrist after throwing the ball is more likely to hit the ball. Then, practice this method a lot to find the right rhythm, and it’s not difficult to hit the ball.
The ball path is quite close to real tennis, and hitting in the right moment can make it go in the direction you expect. Learn to use topspin and underspin with both forehand and backhand at the right moment, and I can’t give a very specific method for this, it feels like it’s still about practice. The Sports training in ball sense and tactics is quite good.
I play a lot of Barijat badminton and am about to move up to A level. Here are some tips. First, pay attention to falling and bad balls, both of which are related to the distance of catching the ball. Early swinging can also cause problems.
Therefore, during the game, it is best to pay attention to two points: first, do not rush to catch the ball, and try to swing the racket when the character is close to the ball, for example, when fishing the ball from the bottom up, it is possible to save the ball even when it falls very low. Second, when smashing the opponent or being smashed by the opponent, the character will be knocked back to the rear position of the court. If the opponent turns the ball in front of the net at this time, it is easy to miss the ball, and then hit a bad ball or even fall over. In this case, consider hitting a net front ball first to adjust the rhythm. (Of course, you can also use this method to attack the opponent.)
Below the B level, everyone tends to prefer more smash errors, but when playing at the B level and against some A-level players, it’s basically a different rhythm. Frequent corner hooks and cross-court shots, so there is a previously unnoticed detail that needs to be paid attention to, which is the direction of the racket. Anticipate the direction of the ball coming, and prepare the swing direction in advance to avoid some bad balls effectively.
By the way, some bad balls can be easily saved, which are those that are smacked into your side. You can basically estimate the ball’s landing position, and then swing the racket a little faster than normal to save it.
My partner plays a lot of bowling and has reached the B level. The game itself doesn’t require any special skills in a regular game; it’s just about finding a full strike pose that you are comfortable with. However, with obstacles on the field, it’s a completely different story. The first thing you need to learn is to throw a curveball, and then you need to consider the layout of the field for some obstacle courses, changing the route through collisions, which is similar to that PC pinball game.
In fact, after playing several games, I personally think that bowling and badminton are suitable for beginners to start with, but when playing with others, tennis and soccer are more enjoyable and exciting. Tennis can be said to be an enhanced version of badminton, with spinning balls that are easy to go out of bounds, and smashing is not that simple either. Badminton can be quite monotonous in the later stages. As for soccer, it goes without saying that the big shots on the field make various curved shots and save the ball with a triple jump in the air, which is completely different from the beginner’s field with all kinds of own goals.
Don’t worry, the most commonly used by the Few People members is the member group and canvas bag. I use the Few People’s bags for weekly snack purchases. I wonder what the other members use their canvas bags for. (2022-05-16)
JarvisMa had it taken by his girlfriend.
Wang Xuguang had it taken by his wife.
Fred Chan had his canvas bag snatched by colleagues from the brand department. That is indeed the most tactile canvas bag I have ever seen.
credronate brings clothes and a water cup to the gym.
ChosenXu carries his own laptop bag to work every day.
Nizzz, that is the benchmark around me!
minideerx is quite sturdy, and it is used to carry books when borrowing and returning books from the library. It can carry 10 books if it can borrow 10 books.
Qing Shun is planning to record a 24-hour work video with a desktop camera, but there might be times when I have to leave. I hope there is hardware or software that can automatically skip still images when reviewing the video. (2022-05-17)
chen DVR-Scan is a cross-platform command-line (CLI) application that can automatically detect motion events in video files (such as security camera lenses). In addition to locating the time and duration of each motion event, DVR Scan also saves each motion event segment into a new separate video clip. DVR-Scan is a free and open-source software (FOSS) written in Python and based on Numpy and OpenCV, and it can be extended and hacked.
Qing Shun’s test shows that it can be done, the 19-minute video was reduced to 7 minutes, and after processing, it was only 2 minutes left. Additionally, the VLC dynamic monitoring you shared before is also very interesting; it can show where people move, which can be used as an microexpression identifier.
EricLi404, anyone has recommendations for comfortable slippers to wear in the office? I am currently torn between buying Hoka’s shock-absorbing slippers or MUJI’s hemp-soled shoes. (2022-05-17)
PlatyHsu Native Shoes are quite useful, and I have bought several pairs of them.
ROB1N, Bless shoe, Milchbart, and Equalizer are all good choices. I wear the hemp sandals at home, but I don’t recommend them in the office as they are very prone to accumulating dust.
Diao Yi finds the Pigeon brand casual slippers quite comfortable to wear.
A pot fell from the sky. Speaking of a topic outside of the subject, there are Beijing-style cloth shoes.
How can Hou Yonghui-Patrick still wear slippers in the office?
Aaron2099 recommends a server monitoring service called Healthchecks, which can send HTTP requests at regular intervals to determine if the server is offline.
My specific use scenario is as follows: there is a Raspberry Pi Zero at home, which will automatically run some scripts. But there have been several times when, after being off for several days, it was found that the system had crashed. Leading to having to reconnect the keyboard and display to find the cause. (Since the Raspberry Pi Zero itself is low-end) So today I plan to find a simple, free, and low-cost solution for monitoring. After comparing several options, I decided to use Healthchecks.
After registering on the official website, add monitoring (check), which can be done by sending an HTTP request or email to indicate that the server is online. Then configure the cycle (as shown in the figure below, ping once a day, alarm after 1 hour of timeout), if the server does not send an HTTP request within the timeout, an alarm will be triggered.
Supports more than 20 types of notification services, common ones like Telegram, Discord, Slack, etc., I have linked Slack myself. I wrote a python script, added to crontab to run every day. When the server does not send an HTTP request for a long time, it will send a notification to my Slack (as shown in the test information).

Ryekee is in Shanghai, and in the post-epidemic era, I think I need a recording device, do friends have any recommendations?
Requirements: independent and functional, no need to rely on a mobile phone or a small bee with good concealment, can quickly start recording and adjust the noise reduction mode, can record the enhanced voice after noise reduction, and can also record the original ‘noisy original sound’.
(2022-05-18)
Song Tuang In general, it seems that Xunfei is recommended, but your good concealment is a bit麻烦.
Branettes Apple Watch? The third one may not meet the requirements, perhaps there are apps that can process it.
Fred Chan has bought a Soogou voice recorder before, which is about the size of a USB flash drive. However, the battery life is not good, not high frequency demand, not always fully charged, and not charged every day. There have been several times when the battery was exhausted when used. So now he uses an app in Apple Watch, Just Press Record, which starts quickly and is completely insensitive.
There is no need to lean in to speak, but the corresponding sound is not as clean. The quality is acceptable to me, and my definition of this scenario is just to record. Synchronization to the phone through iCloud can also use Apple’s voice recognition engine to convert it into text, for fuzzy positioning, it can be used, not demanding. (Because it is too insensitive and often forgets to stop, so it is also very convenient to trim it on the phone.)
Kevin Third-party devices are not as convenient as mobile phones.
Zhou Y苇伟 Sony’s voice recorder, such as TX650, 660, can be inserted into the pocket of a shirt or pants, with one button to start recording, supporting noise reduction mode.
The pot comes from heaven, take a look at Xunfei’s, the noise reduction is still good, and it supports transcription, making content filtering convenient.
The Jili Apple Watch is relatively concealed and has timely, fast, and secure data synchronization, suitable for the scenarios you mentioned. No additional noise reduction is needed, and the sound quality meets the recording requirements.
DerQi Surprise! Friends of Pai!
PlatyHsu has good eyesight, and you can go to Internet Archive to see more promotional flyers and manuals of early Apple products.
Michael’s series of scene photos, also taken as a reference from the album
I don’t understand the Internet, but the advertisement from nearly forty years ago was still so persuasive, leaving me with one thought: I need a Macintosh.
PlatyHsu’s new work as the author of the plain text task management tool Taskpaper, the outline writing tool Bike.
The name comes from the classic metaphor ‘the bicycle of thought’. The file format uses HTML, because it is convenient for future expansion of plugins (as JavaScript can be used), but also supports direct opening and editing of more common TXT and OPML formats.
The main selling point is that a text engine has been written, which is more suitable for outline scenarios and has better performance (the author also provided a very long test text for users to compare themselves).
Other main options include OmniOutliner (powerful but complicated to operate, poor performance for long files), Cloud Outliner (included in Setapp, moderate in all aspects), and Zavala (simple in features, but open-source and beautifully designed natively). (2022-05-18)
mengtanx Thanks, I tried Zavala and it’s quite good, simple and clean. But I am curious about what is the differentiated competitiveness of this kind of outline tool and Workflowy, Mubu, and note-taking tool Logseq?
PlatyHsu thinks these old-school local outline software is actually quite difficult to face the new talents, the main advantage is performance, including text rendering, startup speed, and some very fine experiences, such as shortcuts, movement and folding, adjustment of indentation levels, etc. These may only be discovered by heavy users, but once accustomed to a higher standard, one would feel that the web version is still lacking in skill. I guess they mainly want to do business with these picky users.
Yorks0n feels that old-school products tend to be self-contained, refining a few features to the extreme while not paying much attention to other aspects, such as potentially high entry barriers or lack of guidance; emerging software is in fierce competition with similar products, constantly launching various novelties to lower barriers and attract more users.
So perhaps this old-school software lacks competitiveness, as most users do not need such extreme details. Maybe the developers are hardcore users in some aspect and would not pursue good income indicators, but would be satisfied with a small circle of users who use it enough?
Fred Chan The outline of OmniOutliner supports the ‘column’ attribute. Of course, with the emergence of various data table tools, it can also be realized, so it’s not irreplaceable. The most uncomfortable thing is still collaboration, this web version tool has a natural advantage.
h’h I want to ask if anyone has tried the OmniFocus4 experience, how is it? The feedback I’ve seen online is that OF is a bit outdated.
There are two points about OF that I can’t let go of: tasks can be selected to appear in order, that is, after the first task under a task set is completed, the second task will appear; the entire task set can be completed by completing the last task.
I don’t know if these two features are owned by other tools. (2022-05-18)
Nick That article about OF4 updates in the editorial department has been in the background for more than 12,000 years, and it is still waiting to be published.
Allen I have been involved in testing for more than half a year. I remember the official version was released at the end of the year? Now it’s still the mobile version, and there is no Mac version yet. I feel that the convenience of mobile operation is much better than before, but I still use Mac as the main one.
Kakid Try applying for TestFlight, I remember it’s easy to pass. But I just installed it on my phone and swiped a few times, without deep use.
Lvliqing_JimmyLv My video: First Impression of OmniFocus 4.0, but it’s also the iOS version.
Boat Yang I want to ask, what software was used to make this少数派app at the time? Is it difficult? My friend’s birthday is coming up, and I want to make a 3D card for her.
(2022-05-19)
Moonrat Shapr3D, Fusion360, once the model is done, it can be imported to become AR.
Tp iPad’s Reality Composer can do it.
Boat Yang There is a question, I’ve looked at it roughly and it seems that modeling is required. But I’m a beginner, I only know how to make flat images. Is there a possibility that I made two images the size of a credit card, and then I can stick them together with some software, add a layer of thickness in the middle, and add some material texture to make it look like an electronic credit card?
Moonrat If you can make vector graphics, it’s very easy, as 3D software all rely on 2D image stretching.
Lightboat This was something I did at the time, using a flat map stretched to achieve it. With this website, you can try it out.
Lionel Do you have any good image annotation tools on PC (similar to Pico), with a magnifying glass function? (2022-05-19)
Kevin, the QQ screenshot feature is now very powerful, integrating all the useful functions of other screenshot tools.
Di San Xian Snipaste, in my opinion, is the best screenshot annotation tool.
Hengxiao Snipaste and shareX are both very powerful.
Yorks0n The ceiling light in the room is three socket bulbs. I have been sitting on the bed reading for a long time recently, and I feel that it is very dazzling and uncomfortable to look at the light for a long time. I want to buy some dimmable bulbs that can be controlled by mobile phone. If I want to connect to HomeKit, do I need to buy a device that can act as a gateway? (2022-05-19)
An Mu Yao Apple’s Nanoleaf Essentials A60 E27 bulb is fine, very convenient. The Taobao store is cheaper, it seems that the price has increased this year, and it is indeed very good to use. Buy two to try first. Mixro is not necessary to buy RGB, as there is no need for a party, and a tunable color temperature is enough.
Leo730 Homekit can use iPad as a gateway.
Fan Xixi Aqara LED bulb or Aqara LED bulb T1 (with adaptive lighting), plus a gateway is enough. You can buy it from a dealer on ‘Jingdong’, which is more convenient and cheaper than the official channel, but you need to ask more about after-sales service. If you buy a lot for home decoration, you can negotiate a price, as most of the purchase prices from dealers are half of the listed price, and the general shipment is around 70% off.
Wang Luffy Everyone, what is your allocation of energy between learning and work like: a period of concentration on learning (work), a theme for each time period (weekly as a unit), establishing a parallel learning and work model, and balancing work and learning every day
I tend to 2, but I have been frequently interrupted by various things recently, and I am a bit suspicious. It feels that 1 is indeed flexible and agile, but for someone with纠结症, sometimes it seems that work has no end. (2022-05-19)
Jie Rui For ordinary people or 1, the cost of parallel switching is too uncertain.
D It depends on your work-life arrangement and the relevance of work and study. In the case of needing to balance work results and learning goals, long periods of time away from work or buried in work cannot guarantee that the efficiency of input and output is always very high. Being interrupted by things is just an external factor, and your self-arrangement of rhythm is the internal factor and driving force.
Jingling Xinxin 0711 I think learning is the foundation of my entire life, and work is embedded in it (I don’t know how to express it). That is, work is a part of learning, the ‘exercise’ part of learninglottery planThe latest plan. I would say that I am learning from the moment I open my eyes to the moment I close them. The few hours I spend working are practical practice time. I also take many notes and reflect on work while working.
Liu Liqing_JimmyLv calls the ‘dual-peak model’ ‘Model 1’ in ‘Deep Work’, and ‘Model 2’ is the ‘rhythm model’. There are also ascetic model and journalist model, which are suitable for different types of work, and the appropriate method actually varies. As for me, as a programmer, I am more inclined to the rhythm model. Knowledge workers or creators need to switch continuously to find inspiration.
If you are a beginner in deep work, the author suggests using the rhythm model to cultivate deep work ability. The rhythm model refers to the practitioner creating a work rhythm, integrating deep work into life, and transforming it into a simple routine habit. That is to say, you can do the same thing at a fixed time every day, forming a rhythm.
For example, one hour after waking up every morning can be set as reading time or writing time, forming your own rhythm. The famous Japanese writer Haruki Murakami uses the rhythm philosophy to do deep work. He requires himself to write 10 pages a day, each with 400 words, and no matter what happens in the outside world, he will steadfastly write the 4000 words every day.
If you are an ordinary office worker or a teacher with fixed rest time, or an entrepreneur, you can adopt the double-peak model. This model requires you to divide your personal time into two parts, during which one part focuses on high-intensity, undisturbed concentration, and the rest is spent on superficial work. The youngest professor at Wharton Business School, Adam Grant, uses this philosophy. Before being appointed as a full professor, he had published more than 60 papers, plus a best-selling book ‘The Most Popular Success Course in Wharton Business School’, and ‘Daily Book Listening’ also interpreted this book. When arranging his work, he concentrated his teaching on the autumn semester, putting all his energy into teaching, and ensuring that students could find him at any time. But in the spring and summer, he put all his energy into research work, not accepting any interruptions.
Stephen Hackett of PlatyHsu 512 Pixels wrote an article introducing Apple’s historical obscure cooperation and the iPod co-released with HP.
The background is around 2004, when Jobs wanted iTunes to seize the PC market and preempt Microsoft’s own music store layout; therefore, HP made an exchange, pre-installing iTunes on HP computers, while allowing HP to distribute a customized version of iPod. However, due to Jobs’ desire for control, the customized blue model that HP initially announced did not materialize. The only difference between the customized version and the fourth-generation iPod was that HP’s logo was engraved on the back of the body. Moreover, Apple refused to provide after-sales service for the HP version of iPod; ironically, HP’s own 7×24-hour after-sales service was far superior to the stingy support provided by Apple for the original version (warranty for one year, 90 days of technical support, and only one chance). HP also leveraged its expertise in the printing field to launch a配套 service, allowing users to purchase consumables and print popular album covers as protective stickers for the body (a pack of 10 blank consumables is priced at $15).
It can be foreseen that this short-lived cooperation lasted for less than two years, and after that, HP shifted its partnership to another music store, Rhapsody (a product of the same factory as RealPlayer), and the inventory of iPod+hp was sold off at an 85% discount.

Keke Lili Sisi Asking for new things in issue 105 of this keyboard, where is the purchase link? (2022-05-20)
Zimu Search for Corne on the seafood market. If you are not concerned about being wireless, it is very easy to buy a wired split type and it is also very cheap.
You can search for ‘Alice Layout’ on Zfrontier, including OWlab Spring, which is also considered an Alice Layout keyboard. These keyboards have slight differences in angles and function keys on both sides, with prices ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand. If you want to experience this kind of ergonomic keyboard, you can buy a cheap acrylic stacking experience, such as Libra 68. Some strange manufacturers have also started to produce mass-produced Alice Layout keyboards, including the bald man who has produced a large number of fake keycaps.
Another thing worth noting is that you are attracted to this keyboard to a certain extent by the charming color matching of the keycaps, but this set of GMK Belafonte keycaps needs to be matched with owlab Spring, and you may need to invest 1200+ according to the price at the time of launch. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. In addition to the switch, you also need to buy a kit. The price of the kit without keycaps for this keyboard has already exceeded 4000…
Cam It is very common for such keyboards to have such prices, and some can even reach around 9000. Based on my limited experience, I feel that the appearance of most customized keyboards around 2000 is quite ordinary. The one I am using now is the 40% straight-line Planck, about 2000 yuan, which looks very ordinary.

However, based on this, it is clear that the item tracking of the earphones seems to be based on the earphones themselves rather than the box. (2022-05-20)
Banana Guilinggao, fellow fans, do you have any recommended websites for ordering physical magazines? I want to read it recently. (2022-05-21)
Janpun Postal Public Account is the most reliable, and you can unsubscribe on schedule as long as you have an email or a place to collect letters for you. Regular mail is not like express delivery, calling you every time, and if you do not have these conditions, consider the magazine’s own stores first (go to the magazine’s official website or public account), which generally have package delivery packages. Some magazines may have discounts during 618 and Double 11. If there is no self-operated store, then you can only consider third-party ordering.
Newsstand.co.uk’s international magazine, the mailing is quite reliable and timely, and the cost is also quite reasonable.
