  LianDeDe note: Since the birth of Bitcoin, online casinos and how to find them have begun to enter the public’s field of vision, gradually becoming a new aristocrat in the investment market. However, in practice, there are not a few cases of illegal fund-raising or network pyramid selling under the guise of online casino and how to find them. In order to clarify the套路 of such crimes, the LianDeDe App editor has started to monitor, warn, and compile a list of pyramid coins recently.

  Pengpai announced at the end of May 2018 that a court investigation found that 337 pyramid scheme leaders have been sentenced to prison, and they have deceived at least 10 billion yuan in RMB from tens of millions of investors, with more than half used by the pyramid scheme leaders for personal consumption and squandered.

  To more completely reveal the scam map of pyramid coins, the research team of the Chainde.de App not only monitored the part of the pyramid coins that the court has investigated and filed, but also established detailed rules and standards to monitor, collect, and organize the details of more than a hundred types of pyramid coins exposed in the first half of 2018, including the occurrence time, pyramid scheme methods, involved amounts or numbers, covering Yuao coin, Tang Dynasty coin, Asia-Europe coin, treasure coin, radar coin, CNC nine stars, V treasure, BBT, Huaqiang coin, CB fictional currency, Shengle virtual currency, Morgan coin, Beta coin, Shentong Yuan, GSM, 20th Century Fox, YTC, Manfu coin, E coin, Long coin, Zhongtian coin, DGC shared coin, Hainai coin, Hel coin, Heishi coin, Kaibei coin, Kaoyuan coin, Khan coin, BGB, Mag coin, ITB, ROC, SMI, MMM, and a total of 100 different names of ‘Online casino and How to find it’.

  The criminal tactics in these 100 cases are identical, their essence being ‘eating first and making up later’, and a pyramid scheme model with hierarchical transmission, a ‘passing the hat’ pyramid game, and the basic rules extracted by the research team of the Chainde.de App are as follows:

  1. The leaders of pyramid schemes register shell companies and establish websites domestically or abroad, usually setting up charitable, financial, gaming, medical research, and other legitimate purposes to establish public trust.

  2. Aggressively promote the value of ‘Online casino and How to find it’ through WeChat, QQ groups, lectures, and other forms, with some even accompanied by special public relations to whitewash online to dispel members’ doubts.

  3. Attracting a large number of participants with the lure of ‘high returns’ up to a hundred times, the business model usually consists of ‘paying the entrance fee’, ‘recruiting people’, and ‘compensating team members for forming levels’, continuously absorbing membership fees to achieve the purpose of accumulating wealth, the specific form being:

  1) Pay or change the entrance fee, that is, pay money to join before obtaining the ‘资格’ for compensation or developing subordinates;

  2) Directly or indirectly develop subordinates, that is, to attract people to join, and organize them in a certain order to form levels;

  3) Compensation is calculated from the sales performance of direct or indirect subordinates, or based on the number of personnel directly or indirectly developed for compensation or rebates.

  4, Ultimately, the project often fails due to the lack of new members joining, and the members of the project cannot convert the digital tokens into cash, leading to a broken financial chain and the occurrence of the case.

  From the earliest “HGC” Online casino and How to find it pyramid scheme case in 2009 to the recently uncovered pyramid scheme groups such as “barter currency” and “Treasure Network Performance Coin”, the number of such criminal cases has been increasing year by year. Due to the cross-regional nature of internet dissemination, it is very difficult to investigate and collect evidence, and local industrial and commercial departments can only supervise pyramid activities within their jurisdiction, and cannot cut off the source of national pyramid schemes, allowing some pyramid teams to take advantage of this and even commit crimes multiple times.

  The ChainDD App will also closely monitor the dynamics of pyramid coins starting from today, timely disclose the list of suspected pyramid coins’ “Online casino and How to find it”, and regularly summarize. The following is the compilation of pyramid scheme fraud events in the first half of 2018 completed by the ChainDD research team, which includes the details of 100 major pyramid scheme coin events.

  Considering the reading experience, this article is only a simplified version for the media public. The detailed report version will be uploaded to the ChainDD App and ChainDD WeChat Official Account (ID: ChainDD) in the near future for everyone to download.
